Due to the miserable weather, I thought we would do something different with our Photography blog. You will learn more about JP Watson Photography and what we want to achieve from our photography website.

JP Watson Photography

My Wife and I created J P Watson Photography in 2011, We have always had a passion for Nature, Wildlife and also the Countryside of Yorkshire. We developed this with another passion for photography. At this moment in time, It is just a hobby But would love it to go further one day

Our 3 Canon DSLR cameras and several high-quality lenses, Go everywhere with us. We are Members of the RSPB, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, National Trust, Tophill Low Nature Reserve. Also have recently joined a private Nature Reserve near North Stainley, North Yorkshire. As well as travelling to other Nature Reserves in Yorkshire and other points of interest.

The Website

The JP Watson Photography website went live in July 2011. This was created to show off our photographs. To start with it only had a home page, About us page and a gallery. In 2013 we developed it into a mobile/tablet friendly website. Since then it has developed into what we have today. One of the great things is that we have total control over our website and do most of the work ourselves.

We also now have Social Media accounts with Facebook that has over 1400 likes, Twitter that has over 9000 followers with accounts on Flickr, Pinterest and finally a YouTube Channel.

Our Aims?

When we are out and about the wonderful countryside of Yorkshire with our Cameras. We are always looking for opportunities to enhance, What we are trying to build and in some cases educate not only ourselves but others. Not everybody is blessed with being able to see some of the fantastic wildlife that is around the county of Yorkshire, So we aim to help with our photographs.

Also what we would like to do eventually is add a shop to the website so you can buy and download prints of our Photographs,  At This stage, it is all about Getting the word out and about JP Watson Photography. And Finally would love photography to take over was our job not just our hobby.
