March Nature Wildlife Photography

March Nature Wildlife Photography Report

Welcome to our March Nature Wildlife Photography report. Based on Nature, Wildlife in the Countryside of North Yorkshire and the Surrounding area. As mentioned last month, We have added to our R series cameras with a Canon R7 and an RF 100-400 Lens.

We decided to take the R7 to The Woodland Stream Hide in Durham for its first outing. To try and Photograph Kingfishers. It was our first Visit of the year to The woodland Stream Hide and were looking forward to it. Within minutes of arriving at the hide, the Kingfisher was there even before we set up. Shortly after we got set up the Kingfisher was back and we cracked on as Normal the light first thing was not great as it takes a little time for the sun to break through so it was a good test for the new set-up. To check out the noise etc, As The R7 is a crop-sensored camera first impressions were very good and only got better as the day went on. I Have to say An affordable little light set-up for those with small hands and a small budget.

My Wife Enjoyed her first outing with her new set-up. I Must admit that Compared to the Canon R3 Paired with the Rf 100-500 it compares very well. But anyway, back to what we photographed, we had around 30 visits from the Kingfisher also closeup pictures of the Brambling as well as the usual species seen at the Woodland Stream Hide. looking forward to our next visit in June.
