April Nature Photography Report

Welcome to our April Nature Photography report. Based on Nature, Wildlife in the Countryside of North Yorkshire and the Surrounding area.

As mentioned last month we bought our first Mirrorless Camera a Canon R3, This Month we bought our Second Mirrorless camera a Canon R5.

Our first outing with our newest Camera

For our first outing with the Canon R5, We went to The Woodland Stream Hide in Durham. The Weather was a cloudy day. This was a good test for the R5 as you can see from the Above Pictures all Taken with our new R5 Camera with the Canon EF 100-400L Mk2 Lens and RF to EF Converter with control ring they have come out really well. Also, We also had the Canon R3 with the Canon RF100-500L Lens for comparison and oh did the Canon R5 do well. On its first major test in my hands as mentioned before it will take time to get used to. Isn’t that the case with all-new technology? We will do a full review of the Canon R5 in a future Report.

Back at the Hide

By Lunchtime we had seen 20 different species of birds visiting the Hide. With the kingfisher clocking up twenty-Five visits, Some new Birds from the last visit were Blackcaps and a fleeting glimpse of the Dipper as well as the other usual suspects you see at this hide. Again I can not recommend  Woodland Stream Hide enough it is an awesome setup and we will be back soon.
