March Nature Photography Report

Welcome to our March Nature Photography report. Based on Nature, Wildlife in the Countryside of North Yorkshire and the Surrounding area.

As mentioned last month we have been looking at Mirrorless Canon Cameras as a way forward and this month we bought our first one a Canon R3, First impressions are that it is one exceptional piece of kit but with a huge learning curve.

Our first outing with the New Camera

For our first outing with the Canon R3, We went to Leeds Wildlife Photography Hides near Leeds West Yorkshire. The Weather was a mix of sunshine and cloud which was a good test for the R3 as you can see from the Above Pictures all Taken with our new Camera and also the RF100-500l IS Lens they have come out really well. Also, We had the Canon 5D Mk4 with the Canon EF100-400L Mk2 Lens for comparison and oh did the R3 do well. on its first major test in my hands as mentioned before it will take time to get used to. Isn’t that the case with all-new technology? We will do a full review of the R3 and RF 100-500lis Lens in a future Report.

Back at the Hide

By Lunchtime we had seen 27 different species of birds visiting the Hide. Some new Birds from the last visit were Blackcaps Reed Buntings and the other usual suspects. That you would see in a woodland situation and we photographed a lot of them. Again I can not recommend Leeds Wildlife Photography Hides enough it is an awesome setup and we will be back in June.

And Finally for this Month Nature Photography Report

Our Photographs are available on our Website, Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr pages. Our images are available to purchase at our webshop.

And that brings an end to this month’s Nature Photography Report.

See you next month.
