October Photography Nature Blog

Welcome to this October Nature Photography Blog. Based on Nature Wildlife and Nature in the Countryside of North Yorkshire and the Surrounding area.

In October we visited our favourite Seaside town of Whitby on the coast of Yorkshire. It was our first visit in a couple of years. The weather forecast was not so good, But we thought we would try our luck. We always like to try and get to Whitby just before Sunrise as the Sunrises on the Yorkshire Coast can be excellent in Autumn.

So away at the crack of Dawn, as usual, to see what we could achieve with a wet day forecast. On arrival at Whitby, it was still quite Dark, But dry with a few breaks in the cloud not as bad as it could be. As you can see from the above pictures very low light and slow shutter speeds were used to take the pictures that we could due to the light. May I add all handheld as I forgot the tripod?  When we decided the Sunrise pictures we wanted weren’t really going to happen we decided to go for a walk on the Seafront to see what we could manage to get in the way of pictures the kit we were using today was the Canon 5Dmk4 body 24-70L F4 and 70-200Lmk2 2.8 Lenses.

On the seafront, it was really quite chilly again got the pictures we wanted and then into Town. Then the rain arrived absolutely bang on time with the BBC weather App 0900 on the Dot. So we did not manage to get any more pictures that day.
